Bienvenido al Consulado General de Espana

Welcome to the Spanish Consulate

Over recent years and more notably in recent months Judicare has seen a sharp increase in enquiries for their recovery services from property investors in the UK who are looking to seek legal redress for purchases that have encountered problems.

This has resulted in Judicare being appointed to initiate and take action within the Spanish territories for a growing number of clients by virtue of signing Powers of Attorney in Judicare’s favour , although as Neil Heaney Judicare’s CEO is also keen to point out “there are also thousands of clients for whom the dream of owning a property in Spain has become a fantastic reality and we must always counter the negativity that is often associated with Spain at the moment with the stories that do have a happy ending”.

Until last year there were two options in terms of Spanish Consulates for UK clients to attend to sign these Powers however, the closure of the Manchester consulate in 2010 has created a rise in the workload for the one remaining consulate located in London.

Stella Franchi Judicare’s International Coordinator explains “We have always enjoyed a very close working relationship with the two Spanish Consulates in the UK due to the number of clients who wish to appoint us to represent their interests within the Spanish territories. This arrangement has at times meant we have been able to attain quicker than normal appointments if and when required, for which we are very grateful and quite importantly has allowed us to progress cases in Spain slightly quicker than would normally be achievable”

“The consulates have always been extremely accommodating to us and looked after our clients very well in terms of explaining to them exactly what they are signing, placing them at ease with the whole procedure”

It can be a slightly daunting process for an individual and in recognition of this fact Judicare have taken the initiative to have a link with the consulate so any questions or anxieties surrounding the experience can be addressed in advance of the appointment giving a clearer understanding of the complete procedure.
